CTG Case 1 - Patient came to us looking for options to improve the appearance of her smile. She was born without the lateral incisors and has bridges to fill the spaces. Initially, she desired dental implants to replace her bridges but was so happy with the improvement from connective tissue grating the central incisors, that she decided not to replace her bridges.
CTG Case 2 - This patient had severe recession and a failing bonded restoration. Instead of replacing the restoration, it was removed completely and a connective tissue graft was done to cover the exposed root surface. No new filling was required.
CTG Case 3 - This young female patient experienced significant recession after orthodontic treatment due to her very thin naturally-occurring gum tissue. Connective tissue grafting was done to lower the gum line and permanently thicken the gum tissue to prevent recurrence of the recession.
CTG Case 4 - This patient experienced severe gum recession on his lower front tooth after orthodontic treatment. The area was inflamed and painful. A connective tissue graft was done to correct the defect, strengthen the gum tissue, and level the gum line.
CTG Case 5 - Lingual CTG- This patient was experiencing continued bone loss and gum recession on the tongue side of her lower front teeth. Like many people, she had difficultly keeping the area clean between cleanings. The teeth became mobile due to the bone loss so a splint was required to permanently support them. Connective tissue grafts were also done to raise the gum line and thicken the gum tissue, making it easier and more comfortable for her to clean.
CTG Case 6 - This patient experienced severe gum recession after orthodontic treatment and the teeth became very sensitive. Connective tissue grafting was done to level and thicken the gum line.
CTG Case 7 - This patient was unhappy with the appearance of her smile and was missing a few back teeth. Connective tissue grafting was done to lower, level, and thicken the gum line, and dental implants were placed to replaced her missing back teeth.
CTG Case 8 - This patient was experiencing significant tooth sensitivity due to gum recession. Connective tissue grafting was done to lower and thicken the gum tissue and cover the exposed root to eliminate the sensitivity.
CTG Case 9 - This patient had severe recession on several teeth due to her naturally-occurring thin gum tissue and brushing too hard over the years. Connective tissue grafting was done to level, and thicken the gum line, and eliminate her tooth sensitivity
CTG Case 10 - This patient was experiencing significant tooth sensitivity due to gum recession. Connective tissue grafting was done to raise and thicken the gum tissue, and cover the exposed root to eliminate the sensitivity.
